Default what injectors for turbo b18c

hi guys

im building a fully forged b18c turbo motor which should push around 300-400bhp, what size injectors would be suitable? ideally want something slightly larger than what i need incase i decide to tune it further in the future..

and is there injectors that will go straight in without the need for a resisitor box and different injector harness's?

thanks dan

650+ cc injectors, and saturated (high impedance) won't need resistors.

I'd use either Precision 680cc or RC 750cc saturated. You may have to slightly play with the o-rings for fitment.....

thanks, why do some guys run low impendance injectors with resistor box's, if you can he high impendance that are simply direct swap?

im running 1000cc and i would say that some people use the low impendance w the resistor boxes bc their motors arent in need of as much fuel as a 650+ would give

They usually either run stock injectors out of another car (DSM or whatever because they are cheap) that are low impedence so they need the resistor box, or they need big injectors which don't come in high impedence (there are a few exceptions).

as already stated, in the past high impedence injectors could only be found at about 650cc max due to limitations with their design. now they have developed 750 and even 1000s so people will use them more.

grab some 750s and call it a day

Because the pintles in the injectors haven't been altered as the saturated ones were. some of us have the boxes handy and would rather use those than concern ourselves with wondering if the internals have been altered from the ACTUAL manufacturer.

Call us old fashioned..

I have the same question. I have a B16 Built Top and Bottem and I also have a precision turbo and I hope to make between 4-500hp I am thinking 750cc just wondering if I should go ahead and go 1000 or just stay with 750?!
Thanks

Just go 1000cc. There shouldn't be much of a price difference. You may pay a very *small* amount in ability to idle (1000cc are going to be lucas disc injectors), but should you desire more power, you'll have fuel on tap, and will not need to replace the injectors.

get the 1000cc injector dynamics, they are plug and play with adaptors and also have great idle, partial throttle characteristics (i happen to have a set for sale)

it doesnt take more then 10-15 minutes to get anything 1000cc or less to idle...

to the OP, id say minimum 750, but Id go with 1000's
