we have 3 at our shop, one is for sale and needs the wireing finished, ons has a 3" exhaust FMIC and a boost controller at just ran a 13.1@105 on street tires and ones in a nissan se-r it went a 12.002@114mph same mods as the above 240 with a T28bb turbo. if something would happen to happen to my car, i think thats definitly what i would build next.

Instead of getting an SR20DET, I reccomend you but an RB25DET in because they make more power and don't cost too much more.

Stick with the SR20DET because the RB20DET and RB25DET are overweight hunks of junk that eat #6 pistons on a regular basis. Yes, the RB's will produce more torque but they also weight about 100lbs more than the SR. There are more shops familiar with SR's than RB's. RB's parts cost a lot more! blah blah blah.....
RB20DE/DET came in R31 Skylines, Nissan Leopards, R32 GTS-T Skylines, Nissan Cefiro/Laurel and couple other sedans.
RB25DE/DET came in the R33 GTS-T Skyline, and bunch of Nissan Sedans

the sr is a good enough power plant and drops straight in with pretty much hardly no modifications. the RB should stay where it belongs--skylines and the sedans unless your top secret or signal

Re: kinda OT, but anyone familiar with the SR20DET?
The only pain in the *** part, is that the SR20DET's are all coil-pack ignition, where as most of the cars that you're going to be putting the motor in are in-distributor coil ignitions. I guess you just need the DET harness as well.
I just got done helping a friend put a SR20DE into a NX200, they put things in weird places on the motor, and have stuff foreign to us Honda people, like EGR valves and the like....
But it could be fun.

iron block = overweight and poor cooling so the KA and any other iron block motor (RB's) lose points in that category. Being made from iron doesn't mean that it's stronger. You "torque" guys crack me up!

SR20DET 0WNS!!1
and yeah, its been done so many times that a lot of companies i know stock parts for the engine. you want easy? just get a front clip. modifying the harness is the hardest part of the swap... and modified harnesses can be purchased. for more info and where to buy all these parts, refer to http://www.srswap.com
