Out of Curiosity I was wondering if a supercharger made any sounds as far as noise is concerned or does it make the whistling sound like a turbo or what? Anyone have any ideas? Like the JRSC, does it make any sounds at all? Thanks.

The m62 emits a very noticeable whine when creating boost. Sounds awesome. I, and many others, like to compare it to a power drill on crack. I used to always get looks of,"WTF!?!!?!?!" when i would lay on the gas with my engine bay right next to somebodies open window. People had no ******* clue what it was, even most of the Honda guys i did it to were clueless.

 

Lots of people I drive around are very confused when they hear "PSSSSSSSSSHhhhhhhhh" as I shift

This is a M45 on a d16. The m62 doesnt sound quite so much like a buzzsaw, but its pretty close.

Yo , (Strng1dah) Are you planning to add Turbo while your supercharger is installed? I think I read somewhere where they did that to a car. Forgot what it was tho... thankx... and does it totally make that psssshhhh sound when you shift? I thought that was only on turbos?

 

No he is getting a turbo, and no superchargers do not have a BOV.. and i doubt he is going supercharger and turbo..

and that video sounds nothing like a JRSC on a B18C.. that sounded like a damn hair dryer or something, sounded like ****! the b18C sounds tight as hell with a SC though..

nah man i already sold my JRSC to newgsrdriver on this board. The only way a SC would have that psshhh sound would be if the header was seperating from the block and exhaust gases were escaping

 

you can tell the difference between a supercharger and a turbo hehe but as for supercharger you can hardly notice it until one mash the pedal to the metal hehe. Sounds like waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh waaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

the JRSC on any of the hondas running at a higher RPM sounds like a whinning bitch, lol j/p guys. Its accually sounds like a very loud whinning should. Peace

Another question, you can add an Intercooler on your supercharged car right?

 

realtime's supercharged nsx has a blowoff valve... i also think its intercooled... dont quote me on that though

 

that NSX has a centrifigul SC not a Roots blower.
