What does in.Hg convert to?????
Inches/HG is a measure of vacum right? I don't know what that would convert into but PSI can't be negative. Think about it - pound per sqaure inch? Weird!
1" Hg = 0.4912 PSI.
Inches of Mercury ("Hg) is generally used to indicate smaller pressures.
Pressure can be negative, its just how you express it. Remember that Atmosphere pressure (ambient) is about 14.5 psi. Barometric pressure as reported in weather reports is the atmospheric pressure at any given location/ time. (It fluctuates)
Most guages treat atmospheric pressure as '0' . So a perfect vacuum in this sense would be -14.5 psi.
