Default What do you think of E-Manage from Greddy?

http://www.greddy.com/products/electronics_frame.htm and click on "e-manage"

I know most people here use Hondata for their Fuel Management on their Turbos, but the e-manage seems like its not so expensive like the hondata and also seem to do as much. Please let me know what you think of it! thanx!

Looks like garbage to me. You can only adjust the fuel +/- 20% at 5 RPM points...I didn't read past that because with an AFC you can do +/- 50% in 500 RPM increments!

E-manage = an AFC that might impress your friends more since you can plug it into your computer. It can't control timing, can't make adjustments to anything but the base fuel map, meaning if you try to run big injectors with this thing your timing will be all over the board and you'll have rough starts at best, likely running way too rich off boost. It will work, but the VAFC is at least tried and true and does EXACTLY the same stuff as this new greddy piece.

i was about to buy the thing because you can use a laptop and i had everthing i need to control in it and hondata was too expensive, BUT the software is only available to dyno tuners. so if you know the right people you can get it. other than that you will have to pay to get it programed so that is like 320for the unit +about 400 give are take a few.

so i give it a

Looks like garbage to me. You can only adjust the fuel +/- 20% at 5 RPM points...I didn't read past that because with an AFC you can do +/- 50% in 500 RPM increments!
I think that you should have read on though...the features you listed are just some of the "basic" features. for the advanced features you need the Greddy software, and injector harness (I THINK), you can also get a Pressure sensor and pressure harness for mroe tunability once you max out the stock units.

Additional features that are built into the system, but are only accessible though the use of our PC-Windows based "e-Manage Support Tool" communication software (Please see our Authorized GReddy Support Dealers for more information) are a 16x16 Airflow Adjustmemt Map, Larger Main Injector correction adjustment, Upgrade Air Flow Meter adjustment, Boost Limiter Cut, Anti-engine Stall, VTEC-fuel adjustment, Real-time Map Trace, Real-time Display, Real-time Communication, and basic Data-logging.

With the use of our "Optional Injector Harness" and the software, the unit has the ability to control an additional 16x16 Injector duty cycle Map and the Controls for adding up to 2 Addional Sub-injectors. If the "Optional Ignition Harrness" and the software is used the unit has the ability to control a 16x16 Ignition Timing Map. All of the above Maps can also be Map-traced in Real-time as well. If the factory range of Map or Airflow meter is surpassed, you can incorperate our "Optional GReddy Pressure Sensor and Pressue Harness" to set larger scales of ajustment.

the VAFC is at least tried and true and does EXACTLY the same stuff as this new greddy piece.
The E-manage can adjust the following:

--ignition timing
--boost limiter-cut off function
--can control 2 additional injectors (4 cylinders) or 6 total (6 cylinders)
--shows the map trace function in real time
--With Windows PC software, real time indication of functions & simple logging functions are possible.
--Fine burning pitch can be adjusted via16 ppoints throughout the RPM range.

Those seems like some of the more important ones, I'll let you VAFC people say wheter or not those same features are included with the VAFC.

I think that the Greddy sales rep might be pulling your chain. Try calling a Greddy authorized distributor, not Greddy themselves.

AFAIK, only certain "preferred" dealers (less than 15) got a copy of the software. If they are caught copying the software in any way, Greddy will cut them off completely. Unless you're *really* tight with one of the shop owners, you're gonna have a real tough time getting your hands on it.
