Default What do you all think of the Link Engine Managment?

Was shopping for a stand alone system and the Link E.M. system cought my eye. Seems to have everything a current state of the art stand alone system would have but a fraction of the cost not to mention it's a direct replacement for the stock houseing ecu, uses stock wiring harness connector, and uses the stock sensors on the car. Just a few tidbits that cought my eye were the wide band O2 sensor, dual stage rev limiter, up to 30pnds boost control, and dual knock sensor for retarding timing.

Sounds prety kick *** but have not heard much on this system. Anyone out there have this? If so how you like it? Please respond to this thread I am seconds away from buying this system. Here is ther web-site.

http://performancedevelopments.com/ Its under Link EM.

IF IT WORKS LIKE IT WORKS IN MIATA'S/MAZDA'S damn caps lock!!! then jump on it. I have an uninstalled one for my miata. it is key pad programmable and laptop programmable w/ a simple upgrade. to get a good idea of what is can do try http://www.dlralt.com and look for MLL miata link lab.

I'm guessing no ones responding because this is a fairly new system. I'm gonna get it because it looks hella clean, uses all stock harnesses and ecu box.

Link Engine Management is good stand alone computer , cuz here in New Zealand , where this computer made , there are lots of boosted cars using this computer
my brother using this standalone computer in his Skyline GTST and pumped 222kws@wheels @ 10psi from 2ltr engine
and im using Turbolink which is only a piggyback compie to control my extra injectors for my turbo honda and it works fine
the best Link computer at the moment is Link Plus EM , its got antilag , launch control , shiftlight , vtec controller too
basically ALMOST as good as MOTEC computer but bout 1/3 the price

It is for OBD2 integra gs-r. bout a month ago a guard rail jumped out and hit me, insurance not paying for it, so.... I also don't have enough $ to get it installed and tuned!

the ones that I know are on Miata, you can find some sucessful Austrian Type R users on Link's website. it is the integra plug-in model for 96 above OBD2 GS-r and type R, equipped for boost and came with adequate base maps with boost.

easy to use, and easy to tune

their ECUs are great for the sleeper look, because their standalone ECUs units replcae the board inside your stock ECU (replace the whole board, not a ROM like the Hondata), so no one would know that you were running a special ECU. Tuning is done via laptop or the Link Keypad (which is what I use)

I bought mine from the Link distributor in Thailand. Here's a link to one of the US distributors - lots and lots of information on the site, check it out:

It was $1365 when I bought it, I'm looking for $1050 shipped. Include tuning module and serialink. it can control up to 440cc injectors, anything higher than that will need a resistor from Link, I believe it is around $40.

Hey this definetly sounds like something I'm going to look into. I was fixing to order my hondata system too!!

Ohh and that $800 quote what all does that include?

I want some of the goodies to go with it. It looks pretty expensive once you add everything up. Like the control box or a laptop.

if you read scc religously lik ei do then you will know that it is becoming pretty popular. They seem to liek it a lot and it seem,s to be very easy to install. If you have some old issues or access to them, they used it on their miata.

I agree it is somethign to look into.

Link is already famous in the Miata areas.. but I think Link are only just realising their potential in other markets.. I know they have a lot of replacement tunable ECUs for Honda's now, and with the Link Keypad, its real easy to tune up. Even a novice would be able to tune his car (with basic knowledge on how the Link system and and engine works).

It does everything a hondata 4b can do. and you don't even need to burn roms like you do with a hondata. you don't even need to have a laptop to tune it up. i think its worth it. just plug the Link keypad cable into the back of your "stock" ecu and tune away.

Yes, it is for 96 above OBD2 GS-r and Type R, you might need a clip for a 98 and above.

I like my Zdyne.......can't tell unless you see someone tuning on it. Plug and Play standalone OBD-0 at it's best! Guess you OBD-1-2-3 guys are out of luck
