ive got a 99 civic hx turboed now runnin wastegate spring 7psi and gettin 440 cc injectors and all that bull... and wonderin.... what to do next.... another cam (if they got one for the hx) or pistons/rods or what??? thanks

 

 

How the gas mileage on a turbo HX?

 

when it was NA it only took me 5 bucks to get me from lafayette to lebanon and all the way back to lafayette (bout a 70 mile trip) it only takes me 8 now, and thats even with 93 octane and bout 3.27/gal gas lol

 

Post up some pics I wana boost my hx I think if ur going past 250 range piston and rods are next on ur list

 

i found one hell of a deal on new 8.5:1 piston heads, forged rods, main rod bearings for 575 and an aftermarket cam for 150

 

next i would definitely go with rods pistons and a nice turbo cam(if you can get one for the y5 head.lol) but personally i would go with a little higher cr like 9.1 to 9.5:1. just for a little less lag and if you are on a budget i would consider the the vitaras from like ebay. their cheap and people are pulling over 400hp off of them and dont forget a good tune and your prolly going to have to swap to obd1 to be able to chip the ecu and have it tuned.... i hope i helped

 

EF9... the cam for 150 the guy said it should fit the y5 head... and the hx comes with a 9.5:1 compression stock and plannin on gettin another ecu soon.. need to, cant run on 250cc injections and the shitty obd2a ecu forever, even though its takin the turbo quite nicely... still. gonna get that **** soon hopefully (somehow haha)
