Went to the dyno FINALLY!!
Ok I went up to DRT racing in queens NYC to finally get my car to the dyno and let me just say first ALL YOU PEOPLE that think you know how much power an automatic, STOCK automatic tranny is capable of putting to the ground and like to criticize when you don't know **** this is for you. This is also for the people that pm me and want to boost their autos but are unsure of what gains they'll get or what power they will make etc.....
The dyno used was a inground dyno-jet style sith SAE correction and a motec wideband o2 sniffing the muffler.
First pull my A/F mixture was pretty good but not perfect as to be expected, a little on the rich side in boost range and I pulled a baseline of 175.8whp and about 150lbs of tq.
After playing with the afc settings a bit and 12 pulls later I ended up with 189whp and 167.9 lbs of torque which by FAR amazed the **** out of me. This means my car is putting anywhere near 220-250hp at the crank which was my original goal (before I knew anything), I will get picks up asap but for now I gotta go pickup my 5spd ls tranny I bought.
The key in tuning the afc was to take a bit of fuel out up top and add alot down low around 4000rpms because everytime I bumped it up down there I got more and more torque.
As for the A/F reading its tuned out now to run 14.?? before boost up to about 4000rpms, then as soon as boost kicks in it knocks right down to 12.0 to 12.4 at MOST.... I originally wanted around 11.9-12.0 ratio but the car just didn't wanna make much power at all when I tried that, it almost hated the extra fuel it was getting and was much happier at around 12-12.4 A/F ratio all the way to redline.
My safc settings ended at Hi AND lo both set to:
1000rpm -36%
2000rpm -36%
3000rpm -33%
4000rpm -33%
5000rpm -35%
6000rpm -38%
7000rpm -37%
8000rpm -37%
I must say I owe alot of the tuning help to my friend karim who came at the last minute. I never tuned before but he helped keep an eye on the A/F while I reved it up, took only a little tweaking but makes a goo 10+hp 10+tq difference as you can see. I must say tuning the afc hack isen't all that hard if a newb to tuning like me did it, of course my timing.... well we can't do anything bout that
so I leave it at 13-14deg for now and run only 94 octane now (really because it gives me better mpg then 93octane for some reason, MUCH better).
Anyway Now I have track times (need to go again since tuning) AND dyno numbers on what a ob2 integra automatic can do and hold together like a champ
Enjoy folks.
Oh btw they charged me $175 for an hour with wideband and like I said I did 13 pulls.

No didn't try stock timing, too worried
and have to wait till the pops gets home cause I don't have a scanner but I think he and his mac does....
And you could have easily answered your "what psi you runnin?" by looking at my sig, and I think I posted the number in the thread too...
Yea I guess the long standing arguement about how long an auto will last will be debated forever.... but I am switching teams in the near future and will be going manual (just picked up the first piece... the tranny). But I do have to say for a little while now sometimes while shifting from 2nd to 3rd in partial boost (like 50-60% throttle cases from a roll) it has been slipping a little bit, kinda like when you forget to take your foot off the gas when putting the clutch in to shift, just kinda revs for no reason before it grabs third..... of course excess beating by doing 13 runs in 1 hour probably doesn't help and she's just tired today

I would have had about 30 more hp if I was stick on average. And either way all engines are different so whatever 8psi doesn't mean xxxhp will be made on the nose.
I could have hit 200whp but I didn't wanna go as lean as it would have taken, its pointless I am showing you the whp I made at the a/f mixture I wanted which is conservative at around 12.0-3..

Dyno graphs: 1 shows my baseline before tuning, and my 2 best runs, 1 more peak and one much more stable and cleaner
The other graph shows my 2 best runs in detail.

Nice work! My car, last time I went to the dyno was making 186HP (B18B manual transmission, Honda 13% drivetrain loss) so I figured it to be 210HP at the crank.
I wonder what your drivetrain loss is? You are definitely making good power if you show 189 at the wheels!
Way to go with that Auto tranny... I'm sure alot of people will be happy to hear about your good results.
I'm on a quest to get to 200whp (think I'm making 190 now) but without replacing engine internals I think I'll never see it.
You have a TON of fuel removed on your VAFC... I only removed:

Actually the nature of the AFC hack is 440cc injectors and -40% acrross the board otherwise you'd be dumping MAJOR fuel in. You are supposed to start out with like -40% and tune from their which I did, and ended up adding a shitload of fuel all accross the rpm band, the most being at 3-4000rpms. My drivetrain lose is nearly 30% which takes a good 60whp at moost from my car, I also have a 200whp goal, and know once I swap that alone should give me the 200whp I'm looking for. But once I get that I'll want 200lbs of tq
. I'll go post this on hostboard in a little bit

Ah ha.... you have 440cc's in there... ok that explains the fuel, my mistake.
This is good; people making power with stock internals...
I am running STOCK injectors in the car now; according to RC's website, they are just enough for the setup that *we* have...
http://www.rceng.com/technical.htm#WORKSHEET
Anyway... if I do some math (with your 440's)...
189 HP = 26psi of fuel pressure (.80 duty) .55 BSFC? Wow your pressures must be low... that's nice. I run 85psi at WOT
What kind of fuel management are you running?
I tried using larger injectors, but there was a major drivability issue with my MAP circuit modifier (major fuel dump on throttle close) so I threw the stockers back it. Haven't blown one yet
but riding the edge of disaster...

My fuel management is what we turbo guys call the "AFC HACK" you use 440 or 450cc injectors and use the AFC to tune out fuel as you can see, making them run at stock levels, but with the ability to add or take fuel away where needed and at stock fuel pressures...
I used to have a similiar fmu setup where fuel pressure is what adds your fuel and didn't like it, bogged at vacum and was unreliable...

Good numbers. Now I can finally prove to my cousin that the auto LS's torque converter does not bleed off power at @150whp. My cousin told me that the converters bleed off power @150whp and this is the reason why I left my auto teg mostly stock. Good job.
Yes, whats everyone think of my curve? Criticize it, I'm not an expert on reading dyno graphs, but compare my stock power to new and tell me how well I did tuning it if you could
I made 189 WHP 155 TQ with My 5 speed LS, My A/F was 14.1-14.5:1!! I guess if I where to run 12:1 it would make Less.
I was running 8 psi on a T3/T04E .63 AR 54 trim.

Exactly, the more mac made told me to bump up fuel on the low end like I said before I got more and more low-mid end torque, it was awesome
Car loved fuel down low like that.
