ok so i just picked up a turbo it has a internal wastegate but previous owner welded the waste gate shut. i dont really want to put a external wastegate. would it be fine if i grinded down the welds and made it work again???

If you make it pretty clean so the flap doesnt hang up on anything and it still moves freely
