when i have the clutch in everything sounds normal at idle and driving...when the clutch is out and im driving a whining sound is coming from what sounds like the transmission, my mechanic told me it would go away its just because everything is brand new. anybody ever experience something like this its a pretty distinct sound.
Only time that ever happened to me was when I was very, very low on transmission fluid because it leaked so rapidly and I didn't expect it. Was it just installed?

everything was just installed in the car... i just started working on the 500 mile break-in. everytime i walk out to the car or get done driving it i look on the ground for any leaks and there hasnt been anything yet.
T-O bearing will make noise when you're pushing the clutch in, while the input shaft bearing will make noise when you're not. A bad bearing will make the sound a skateboard wheel does, although a dry bearing may squeal as you describe. They are $50 or so, and cheap people will sometimes avoid replacing them.
Its unlikely the gear shafts are serperating due to bad bearings, I know from experience that makes a [really cool] supercharger-like whine.
