Default wastegate question

ok guys im wondering if they make an adapter to go from a 44mm wg to a 60mm. my manifold is setup for 44 and im debating trying to fix this boost creep issue before it happens as the project is not finished yet. if they do make one is there any downside to using this? I know they make a 38-44 adapter but ive been looking for a 44-60 and cant seem to find one. thanks for any input

it's not gonna make any difference when sticking a 60mm gate on a hole made for a 44mm gate.

Ok that's kinda what I was thinking. I'll prolly just let it go n hope I don't get too much creep mayb change manifolds or just cut it off n weld a 60 flange in later on if I need to

What manifold and what turbo? I had this issue with my manifold and precision 6266. Ended up with two gates o e on either side of collector but wish I had sold my 45 gate and purchased a 60. Would make it easier to setup dump tubes etc with one gate.

I had the same problem with a 44mm waste gate, I bought on a synapse 50mm and fixed the problem. Waste gate work prefect!
going from a 44m to 60mm is not just changing the flange, you would have to replaced the waste gate runner to a larger size for it to work correctly.

In theory you should be changing tubign size on the 50mm too.

Does the AFI have a teardrop wg outlet or just 90 into the collector ?

yea I didn't mean just the flange I meant cut the hole tube off that comes to the gate and make a bigger hole in manifold n weld on a new tube with a flange.

That would be the proper most optimal way of doing it even if went with a 50mm BUT IMO i would go larger than 50.

I believe it's just a 90 straight into collector but I could b wrong its been awhile since I've looked at it.

I either wanna go to a 60 or possibly just add a second 44. I wouldn't just bump to a 50 cuz chances r it may still creep even with a 50

AFI Bottom Mount with a 6262 here and Im having creep issues. I've done everything to try and get it to hold a steady pressure but nothing works. I'm just coming to believe its a shitty manifold design.

Last year I had the Bottom Mount with a 5858, less compression, smaller cams and it held 12psi just fine. I'm pretty lost as well...

True...but it fixed my boost creep problem with out having to have to do all that extra work.
I got away with 44mm to 50mm. But 44mm to 60mm.... i wouldn't even attempted it.

I had a 45mm turbosmart, i added a 40mm on the other side of the collector. You dont need to put two 44mm units. twin 38's would work but you already have the 45. How many pound boost is it creeping?

Mine would creep to 22.25psi on 17 psi spring and hold steady 22.25psi up to about 9krpm and come down to 21.5 after that

Its definitely not the design, or the exhaust wheel. Something else is up. If the vacuum source that you're using is off of the compressor housing from the top of the wastegate, its actually too strong of a source, and at low boost will cause creep issues. Not the manifold or turbo.

I have one. Had it for years with 3 different turbos from a GT40R to a TR3030R. No issues based upon manifold design.

Just to clarify my setup is not done yet so I am not having creep issues... I am just trying to get some insight into this as I know it is a common problem.. I'm trying to avoid
