After installing my turbo I took her out to she how she was doing. Right as I take her out any time I put load on my motor I here a weird sound. It sounds kinnda like the chugga chugg chugg of a choo choo train but with more of a clack sound.hah its hard to explain, but I figured it was an exhaust leak. So I check my manifold bolts and my downpipe and everything seems to be nice and tight. Its was weird to me that at idle I couldnt here it, but even if I put load in vaccum it will make that sound loud and clear. Could this be a malfunction with my wastegate? Ive tried to narrow things down and this is the only thing I can think of. Im still able to build all 7.5psi but It seems like it may be a bit laggy.

is this this the first time u running an external wastgate? is the wastegate dump tube connected to the exhaust or is it open to the atmosphere if the answer to these questions are yes then its the wastegate thats making all that noise u can barely hear the bov

 

This is not the first time. Ive ran this exact wastegate on a previous turbo and never heard this noise before. I can hear my bov perfectly also.
