hey fellow HT. I recently bought a 94 accord with a t3/t04e turbo. After I got the car, I've notice that when running the car to redline, the wastegate is so LOUD that i could barely hear my exhaust. One of my friends told me that the wastegate (TiAL) was supposed to have a boost spring attached to it (mines didn't have one). The wastegate is connected to the intake manifold for vacuum if that helps and where can i get the spring at? it's a 38mm wastegate.

 

Umm The spring should be inside the wastegate and that is what regulates boost. I assume you are running an open dumptube so it will be loud either way.

yea as of rite now i'm running an open dump. would it be quieter if i have it connected to somewhere? just a thought

 

connect it to you downpipe...
