Default walbro 255 lph

someone told me that this fuel pump is pushing my system too much and that i need a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator.
is this true,
i am running a tdo5 18g greddy turbo kit on my 00 ls with emanage

no this is not tru, i am currently running the 255 lph with no fpr, it would just make the tunner's life a lil easier.

The walbro flows WAY more gas than stock.. From my searching I've come to the conclusion that you DO need an aftermarket FPR for the walbro if you want your fuel pressure to be at the OEM setting.

I'm half way though a walbro install right now can't stand the smell of gas and also need an installation kit.

It depends on which Walbro 255lph. There's the High pressure version and the regular version.

CRX..

I went though hell the last time i changed the tank so it was much easier this time with new hose clamps, rubber lines etc.. also drained the tank though the return line this time.. very clean way to drain most of the tank.

sometimes the pump can cause a higher than desired fuel pressure and force more fuel out of the injector than it is supposed to spray, this is cause the return line cannot send enough fuel back to the tank.

There is a how to on the old one.com (endyn site) on how to drill a 0.035 hole in the fuel return so more fuel can go back to the tank.

i had to do this mod also.......it makes the engine idle soooooooo much nicer....
