More than likly no, whats your fuel system consist of and what kinda power are we talking?
A pump isnt going to put more fuel into the cylinders unless the regulator is set higher. A good pump just provides the fuel to the rail & injectors, and if the injectors are maxed out meaning open/closing faster than the pump can delivar this is when a pump is needed. But a stock pump should be fine with 450's & your under 8psi.
Its pinging? hopefully your not running to much timing, and your running a Premium pump gas correct?
Jeff

timming is retard (as much as possible) said jeff, from importbuilders..and 91 pump gas in cali (premmium), and i'm running no more than 7lbs of boost....may i shoud just get re-tunned by church's this time??
so you'll telling me a stock fuel pump with rc440's and s200 hondatat is good enough for fuel on a boosted b18c5??

7lbs you should be just fine with a stock pump, but it wouldnt hurt to throw a walbro pump in, its cheap insurance incase your factory pump goes out. You can get walbros on ebay for like 80 bucks.
Give you an idea, I ran 10psi on a LS/Vtec turbo 10psi just fine, Stock DX pump.. No problems.
