yea, without blocking it off he wouldnt build much boost at all....i've seen tiny exhaust leaks cause people to boost only a couple pounds.

exactly my point....with such a large opening in the manifold, creatin a huge exhuast leak (before the turbo) it will not build much boost if any..

.and to think some kid on there was telling me im an idiot..i aught to give him a


on another note..EIPRICH, tells the kid what the lower vacum nipple on teh greddy type-s is designed for.(pop off valve, to help contol boost) i never new that.

using a blow off valve to control boost is NOT the way to do it. You will increase the wear on the turbocharger greatly.

I think pop off style valves on the intake tract are worthless except it be as a fail-safe for overboost conditions...
