Default Vtecand super charger Q.

For the people running a supercharger on a GSR or any other vtec.
I am not feeling or hearing Vtec kick in on my car. I am not throwing any codes so I was just wondering if any of you know if this is normal for a SC Vtec car? or if it is not, or maybe it is just me.

With a supercharger , you don't really hear the Vtec change over through the intake. If you have aan after market exhaust is will be more noticeable.
You will know if Vtec is not working, It will fall on it's face above 6500rpm and the boost will go up a little.

I have I/H/E plus a high flow cat. so does that mean the vtec will be more noticable or it won't?

Its not that its more noticeable because youre making more power.

With the charger, its tough to hear VTEC crossover because the charger makes so much noise. In terms of feeling it, you'll feel your car going faster as the RPMs climb, thats how you know its there What John is saying is if it isnt there, the car will be noticably flat above 6500RPM. Is it?

You don't notice the vtec as much because the increaseed lift and duration of the high end lobes don't make as much difference with a supercharger. Some guys here claim that more aggresive cams don't make ANY difference with a supercharger. Some ITR guys even drop down to GSR cams for supercharging. I can notice a small bump a vtec crossover, but it is not as noticable as before I got the blower. When I got a new exhaust system I heard a much louder blurp at crossover.
