Vortech Supercharger Questions
Hey,
Im going to be buying an Integra GSR pretty soon, and am starting to think about routes that i want to go to make a good amount of power. I first thought a turbo set-up would be good, but now am thinking about a Vortech Supercharger. I dont need the HUGE horsepower numbers from a turbo, i just want my 1/4 times in the high 13's. I know a pretty good amount about regular superchargers that most people think about (i.e.-JRSC), and i know a good amount about Turbochargers...but the Centrifugal superchargers are new to me...enter the questions:
I want a safe, reliable setup thats gonna last...how much boost can i run with a Vortech SC on a B18C1 block without internal modification?
Would boosting the psi level with the Vortech options (air-water aftercooler, and so on) be safe?
I know the kit comes with the Vortech FMU...is that a good unit? or should i opt for another aftermarket FMU?
The kit comes with 310cc injectors...are those good for the stock fuel rail? or should an AEM unit come in play here?
Since its a centrifugal type blower...should i use a turbo timer to keep things cool after i turn off the car?
I saved the big noobie question for last:
exactly how does the air-water aftercooler work? Do i have to put cold water in it all the time?
Thanks guys a lot for your help!

try the search button. this topic has been covered a lot of times. basically, if you wanna do some type of forced induction, you dont really wanna go with the vortech. it doesnt make any power until late in the rpm. and once it starts making power, its time to shift already.
either go with jrsc or turbo.
