Vortech supercharger
Is it street legal CARB exempt??? Is it any more powerful than the JRSC I heard that the JRSC blower was small and thats why it doesnt make a lot of power. Also can you port and polish your head with either a turbo or a super charger system?
If you have decided you want a supercharger, go with JRSC for sure, vortech peak numbers are higher but JRSC has more usable power and a much nicer power curve. Yes, you can port and polish your head w/ turbo or supercharger, they are completley unrelated.
P&P will do about 15whp on N/A probably around 30 or so on a supercharged or turbo application. IT will run you about 1200 labor included. My suggestion contact a DPR representative and ask them to do your head you can get a lot more for just a little bit more money
On ur head, concetrate more on the exhhaust side and get a crower 63401 boost exhaust cam.
Way back in the day I ran a Jackson, and Crower sent me prototype cams for boosted vehicles, especially superchargers. The race shop I was dealing with tried to pull thhe most out of that thing, needless to say the intake cam was overkill. We sent them our results and they said they'll fix it. A month and a half later they came out with the 63401 boost cam that I was running. Just the exhaust side ported and camed netted me almost 25 whp.
