i have a k20 type r in my 93 hatch and i want a little more power under the hood.
i was wondering if it was possible to buy a integra type r vortech supercharger and put it on my k20 type r, since they dont make them for rsx's and i dont want a turbo so i was wondering if that would work, but of course its just another crazy idea

Might as well get a Jackson Racing supercharger
BTW check out K20a.org

yea but jacksons superchargers doesnt give the horsepower and the torque that vortech does...i want a vortech

How much was that swap? Any more then a B16? OH . . . . I believe Vortech is working on one , but I don't know if it will work on swapped motors.

The Vortech also gives you that ultra peaky powerband with no mid range/low end that the JRSC doesn't give you. Oh, wait. That isn't a good thing..........

build FMU's by pass valves, fuel pumps and ****, charge pipes, after coolers, innercoolers, and wat not, i do a bunch of various things, pulleys, belts...blah blah

SPNFEDEJ i looked at the site but i dont think they had anything for a rsx just a 99-00 civic si and integra GSR and TYPE R so i was wondering if it would be possible for the integy type r sc in my k20 type r engine

4 cylinders and superchargers don't mix. A Paxton Novi-2000 takes almost 75whp just to turn! Is your four cylinder able to sacrifice power down low? I didn't think so.

yea, were not making one for the k series, not as right now at least

If you want a supercharger you'd be better off with a JRSC because a Vortech is all top end.
Plus a Vortech doesn't hit full boost till redline.

A jackson gives a little more umph off the line with putting around not trying to race. But when the revs are up like you are really trying to race the Jackson doesn't stand a chance against Vortech. With tunning you can easily take the vortech to levels unheard of by Jackson.

ok so could you tune the vortech sc to run like a jackson racing sc but still have the power of vortech at high rpms? i dont want to sacrifice low end horsepower and i want that pull that jackson racing sc give you just while cruising but want that massive power from a vortech while racing

No. A JRSC makes full boost the instant you go WOT. A Vortech makes boost that looks like a logarithmic curve, JRSC is instant. That's why the JRSC has such a huge mid range and low end power advantage over the Vortech, and is the reason why the Vortech just wasn't awfully fun to drive on a small displacement motor. No amount of timing or greater compressor efficiency is going to make up for a poor design.

You might want to go with a ball bearing turbo like a GT28rs which gives you good low/mid and high end pull.
