Default vortech keeps breaking belts

well, in 7 days, ive gone through 6 belts. some last longer than others. all have been from autozone, which is probably the problem. they carry dayco belts..which apparently are no good. so whats a good belt?

everythign is fine...all lined up..boosts the 8 psi that it should. i just noticed after a day of use, the belts start to show wear ont he side, and start to fray. ive tightened the belts but im afraid to over tighten..when i give it gas, it used to torque just a lil (the belt) but now it dosent move at all, so i figured this last time i got it right..size and tightness, but it broke last night

I work for a NAPA here and we stock Gates belts! I've got a jackson on my hatch and have ran these belts with no problems

If it's fraying on the side after one day's use, you have a major alignment issue. That shouldn't be happening, no matter what brand belt. Fix your pulley alignment issue first, belt brand shouldn't matter.

figured out what it was...the bolt on the lower part of the powersteering apparently came out...glad it was that bolt i forgot to tighten, not a more important one..so anyways, the powersteering was moving over, making the belts rub, and for some reason, it kept takin out the SC belt never the power steering so i just got a gatorback belt and running w/o powersteering...so far today, no wear on the belt is evident
