Default Vortech FMU idea...would it work?

I think I might be getting to high of fuel pressures during idle and cruising (closed loop) So I was wondering if I put a checkvalve on the vortech fmu, so it won't see vacuum just boost. that way when I'm cruising, the idle fuel pressure would be coming from the factory FPR. Would this work?
