Default vortech???

I was thinking about getting a vortech supercharger with the aftercooler for my B16A2. I have heard mixed opinions on this (heard that you get crazy horsepower and torque, but it gives crappy 1/4 times). I am actually thinking about putting this in an integra. I have about 8000 I want to put into my integra. Any opinions on whether or not this would be a good idea, or if the B16 with the supercharger will even fit. My goal is to have a crap load of horsepower and torque, of course beefing up the suspension is a must. I know they say that the supercharger can be added to a stock engine, but what do YOU think I should do to the internals to accomadate this. Any suggestions would be great. thanx

Yes I suggest you forget about a vortech and pick yourself up a drag3/revhard kit. Vortechs powerband is plain GAY

The powerband in a Vortech powered car is similar to that of N/A...like a NA car on roids is the only way I can explain it. It is very predictable. The 1/4 mile times are respective of the suspension setup, traction, and driver. There are not many Vortech powered cars out there running a "Pro style" setup (correct suspension, slicks, gearing etc..) Wait until you can compare setups that are similar before making a judgement on a product that has gobs of R&D and is really quiet efficient when you compare output per psi.
Ill let you pass judgement when I only run mid tens in street trim and minimal boost. My Vortech may not be a common "Turbo on a stick" but even the V-5 compressor is capable of 400-450(well tuned) to the wheels.
Turbos are awesome and I would do that but someone has to be different... it a process of evolution.. back in the day eveyone was dumbfounded when Tony Fuchs was running 11's and Shih busted a 10.86@136 via turbo and no one thought it was possible. Same rules still apply.
