Default Valves Tapping ? (newbie question)

sorry im not a very big tech...The shop that is dyno tuning my car mentioned something to me about hearing my valves tapping. The motor is brand new, only has around 350 miles on it. The head setup is as follows:
Port and Polished
Crower Turbo Cams
Crower Valvesprings and Retainers.

What could be the cause of this ? Maybe I need a valve adjustment ? Car cold ? 10w40 oil still in from January ? I did not hear them tap, but while on the phone they mentioned something about this. Please dont flame me, im just looking for intelligent responses please, if you don't have anything nice to say please don't say it in this thread.

Thank you.

Tapping valves can be caused by multiple things. Valve lash settings, big cams, worn tappers, inproper valve install.

The best thing to do in this situation is let the mechanic whom built the motor look over it really well.

Hope you the best of luck bro!!

You sure it was your valves? Do you have aftermarket pistons?

I dont know how built your car is but when you rebuilt it and put in new cams you will probably have to check valve lash after a little driving after the cams break in. Like i said i dont know if you put the turbo cams in during the rebuild but if you did its a good possibility this is the reason.

Hrmm, valve lash = valve gap clearances. Off the top of my head, intake valves .006 and exhaust valves .007. Should be check when the vavles are cold and at TDC. Go to c-speedracing.com they have a very good article on checking your valve clearance.
