Default valve spings

So long story short, we got some JUN valve springs and jun retainers from a friend that owed us some money. Now i have no idea if they are really JUN springs and retainers or not? How can you tell? These springs are for a b20/vtec with GSR or ef1 turbo cams in a very high boost, 25+ psi from a SC61, application. Are the jun's going to work fine or should we sell and get something else?

From reading a review on import review..

http://www.importreview.com/reviews/valvesprings.html

They said the jun's are good and work great with JUN cams..but what about with stock GSR or the ef1 turbo cams?

oh yea..here is some pictures of the springs and retainers...are they really jun's? There is no label or marking on them. (they came in not the orginal packaging)

Thanks in advanced,
liam

Get a spring pressure tester and test the seat pressure for the springs. Do the same to the stock springs. JUN should have spring rates somewhere on their site.
The difference should be very noticeable between seat pressures (the JUN should obviously be quite a bit more stiff.)

I think only Erson cams go flat from using stiff springs.. thank God they don't make stuff for imports!

Those don't look like the Jun retainers that I have seen. And I would not put anything in my motor that I was not sure of. If you don't know what springs you have, why risk your investment on something that could have catastrophic consequences, should it fail ?

Allot of springs look the same to me but these look so much like Port Flow's springs.
