VAFC question?
I have a 95 accord, ex, 2.2 vtec, it has the f22-b1 motor in it with a turbo on it. I just bought a vafc controller for it and have ran into a couple of questions. one instruction sheet that came with the controller did not have my car on it. I called apexi and they said that the controller does not like my car (it doesn't like the vtec). he said that I needed the safc controller, which is the same controller with out vtec. I was reading the book that it came with, not the same peice of paper, and it had all the diagrams I needed to hook it up to the f22-b1, I am confused, they said not to use it but its in the book? my question is, can I hook it up without the vtec controller hooked up? Another question, does any body have this set up and if so how is it working? please let me know .....thanks
I was told that you can still use the V-AFC just not hook up the wires for the v-tec portion of the controller. Not sure if thats true(I hope so cause it was from a performance shop). I am planning on doing a v-tec swap after I put in my turbo (just two more weeks and I should be installing it!!!!!!) and the shop said that I could get the V-AFC and just not hook up the v-tec portion untill I get the v-tec swap.

The VAFC works fine on the F22b1. Get yourself a service manual and wire it up correctly. I hear this all the time but never had any trouble with mine.
I dropped my vtec down to 3100 to get more power earlier. Dont know if its just my car but, the dyno showed my best runs at 3100.
