VAFC hack - code 45 - o2 sim question (all related)
My setup:
99 Si stock b16a2
T3 turbo from a Nissan 8 - 8.5psi
Intercooler etc.
DSM 450cc - VAFC to control the fuel
B&M FPR - fuel press at idle is about 40psi, when on the throttle it goes to 50psi. Stock fuel pump
My settings are -38 from 1K-4K RPMs, and -37 from 4K on up. I am getting a CEL 45 (system running too rich or lean). Well I installed an o2 simulator on my SECONDARY o2 sensor (after the testpipe). I believe i installed it correctly. Also, if I reset my ECU, and the code does go away. I drove well over 100 miles before it came on again.
Anyone have any suggestions what I should do? I was thinking of leaning out the VAFC and seeing if it goes away and stays away. Or should I lower idle fuel pressure? BTW the car runs beautiful. Running roughly 8, 8.5 psi, i ran a 14.2@100.67 MPH full interior, AC and a subwoofer.
Thanks,
Kevin
