Default vaccum/boost sources

Okay guys, just a quick question here in regards to a vaccum/boost source for things like a boost gauge, an fmu and stuff like that. As it stands, I need a source for 4 different things:
1) an FMU
2) a BTM
3) my boost/vaccum gauge
4) and my BOV

My question is, where is the best place to plug all these in? Right now I am currently using the the FPR vaccum source for my boost gauge and I have the FMU capped off. Would it be okay to simply "T" off all of them from the same source or should I give each of them their own independent signal? thanks is advance.

I have all mine running off of my fpr vac line. But I wouldnt suggest doing what I am doing. Try and get the BOV vac line on its own seperate vac source. Either have a new source tapped, or find an existing source. There should be a couple open vac sources on the back of the intake manifold. Take a look

So u figure I should use a separate line for the bov? Well, it makes sense to do it for all of them, but I don't want to drill any holes into my intake manny. What else could I use then for the bov? Like I said, I'm using the fpr for the gauge.

unfortunately the best method really is to drill into your intake manifold & add some ports. you can get barbed hose fittings from your local hardware store (i bought them from orchard supply hardware). then drill a couple holes into the manifold & use a tap & die set to screw the fittings in. seal everything up with teflon paste & your done. it is best to do this with your manifold off of course, but i guess you could be shady & just stick a rag in the manifold to catch the majority of scraps & then vacuum out the rest...

the finished product looks something like this (the zip-tied lines next to the brake booster hose):

It doesn't really matter if you have all 4 tapped into that FPR vacuum.

Unless you have like 5+ feet of vacuum lines , then you need to tap its own source.

Nah, I won't have that many feet of vaccum lines. Really, the only one that I'm concerned about is the bov. The btm, fmu and boost gauge can all run off the same one and I'll just T them off. As for the bov, I really don't want to drill any holes into the manny so what do u think is the best source besides the fpr? As well, I'm not too sure what u guys r referring to when ur talking about the brake booster. Thanks

i highly recommend this. i have a seperate port for each item in need of vacuum... ie.. bov.. map.. evc.. boost gauge.. fpr. everything works so much better and is more responsive.
