V Band question
I saw in a "sales" pitch a line that said, "To save time between runs, we supply a V-band downpipe". Now I am pretty green to the turbo FI but have been into FI for a bit. SO....... How does this save time between runs? I don't get it.
Thanks for the N00B question and answers.

on normal downpipes there is 4 or 5 bolts that you bolt up to the housing, instead of those bolts a v band is used its like a clamp.

imagine trying to loosen up 4-5 different bolts around the downpipe, which can make it a PITA.

You haven't done much racing if you ask that question. **** breaks. V-bands are the best thing to use. They don't leak and they are easy to get on and off. I can drop my entire exhaust in about 4 minutes (not including jacking up the car)
