Default using the rsx retainers on boost. .

I see the 02 k20a retainers used a fair amount inmotor builds any of you guys use them in turbo motors? My current motor has ctr cams supertech 85 lb springs and ti retainers. The current retainers have a few years on them and might wanna repace them over the winter. Can those oem retainers hold up? The motor makes 400-500 hp depending on boost and limter at 8300 street and 8800 track

Dont cheap out on the valve train, why risk all the damage that can happen. just invest in a new set of supertech retainers, and or ask a tech at supertech when the retainers should be replaced. Oem retainers on a engine making 500 hp..

I opted not to use them on my supertech spring setup. I like the more snug fit (and lower weight) for extended high rpm I will be in. Tom at Portflow agreed when I recently had him do a freshen up on one of my heads. It may well work great for most people but after careful consideration I chose to use the Supertech retainers, which I have seen minimal wear from in the past.

I have a full set of new oem k20a2 retainers and locks for sale if anyone is looking.
