Default Using Prelude Injectors

Hey guys,

To anyone who has directly done this swap, or knows 100% for sure:
I have a B17a1 OBD1 VTEC motor, running 10 PSI. I need larger injectors. We want to do the preludes, just because I can get them for dirt. I know the 93-95 have OBD1 330ish cc injectors...do they bolt right into my AEM fuel rail? I know they will supply enough fuel with my regulator.

Anyone who has done this and can give me any pointers, I appreciate it!

Alex

The OBD-I Lude injectors were P&H, and if i'm not mistaken so were the 2G Integra's, so yea they should be no problem. I have a set of injectors from a 94 VTEC Lude if you need em'.

90-91 integras used peak hold. 92+ used saturated. So he will need to get
a resistor box

sgT is right, and yes they will fit into an AEM fuel rail. I got my Fuel rail yesterday and fit my injectors in just to make sure. By the DSM injectors work too, thanks sgT!

You will need some sort of fuel computer to control them, like a V-AFC. Tell me you are not still using just the paxton regulator? You need something boost dependent!

Ok...so all we could source was 450cc DSM injectors...but I dont think I want to run these without some kind of fuel control. We can always turn the base pressure down to 35 and see what we can tune out of it...

Im positive the paxton is going to work just fine, I just need injectors to get the right amount of fuel from the rail.

Heh, Dravis. Listen to me.

The Paxton is a 1:1 regulator. The entire point of having a 1:1 regulator is because the manifold is pressurized under boost. When you are under 15psi of boost, it takes 15psi MORE fuel pressure to get the exact same fuel delivery! 1:1 Regulators do not enrich fuel with boost!

Your "tuner" is smoking crack. I would not let anyone this uninformed "tune" my car.

Either get big injectors and a standalone, big injectors and a V-AFC, stock injectors and FMU and fuel pump. Just using a 1:1 FPR is not going to compensate for fuel under boost.

Listen to me before you have to shell out extra $$ just to get it working right.

SIRKid, 310's with an 8:1 regulator work fine without an AFC, thats' what I'm running. As for this whole 1:1 regulator thing, HAHAHAHA.
