using aluminum for downpipe a bad idea?

Default using aluminum for downpipe a bad idea?

i was just wondering if that is possible or must i have to keep on using a steel downpipe? will an aluminum dp crack?

it will warp and start sagging,i live in redneck country,alot of them use the stop sign poles for exhaust,they are made of aluminum,after a while they start to sag and hang lower.

ouch...hmm...i need a new downpipe but was looking for something lighter than steel. so it starts to sag huh...

why would it have to be lighter than steel? the dp does not weigh that much. other materials need to be TIG'd which will cost big bucks for the welder itself or the labor of having someone else do it
