Default Need downpipe advice!

im piecing together my kit and if i dont find a used maxrev dp i think i will go with one from usdm ed9. he offers a 2.5" for 140+30 for a flex pipe too. thats in regular steel. then its 190 for a 2.5" +55 for a flexpipe and that is in stainless steel. so 170 or 245. im not sure if its worth it to get the SS for the downpipe. i have the maxrev manifold already. is it worth it to pay for the ss? and also is the flexpipe that good to have?

and how long should a downpipe last?

i'd get stainless so it doesn't rust and look nasty.. and you need a flexpipe.

why is the flexpipe so necessary? and are there any other opinions on SS over aluminized steel?
