OKAY. Lets get the basic facts out first before i commentate a little.

1. i got my ecu back, unchipped- this is OKAY and how i requested it.
2. i have working software.
3. the old software was shut down becuase of piracy.
4. H-t Member hybrid conned me into giving him the software, making me feel bad for him and providing false payment information, and he then gave the software to over 40 unique IPs.
5. blake is sending me a chipping kit ( he had no zif - i do; i just lack other supplies)
6. blake has been VERY availible and kind lately, i talk to him for lengths at a time sometimes.
7. I pissed off Jdavid and Jon @ dropshop in my frustration, i had no right to vent on them and I apologize!
8. Blake is making new software and has plans for software as a whole in the future.
9. Blake is paying me back for my trouble fo 3 months downtime by sending me his old set of Endyn 9:1 Ls pistons, which he used on the motor that he machine shop ruined of his, as he needs lager bore pistons due to cylinder wall gap being too large.

Id like to say that while dealing with blake has been an extreme frustration, I feel very good about the situation now. I have gotten to know blake after all this and he is indeed, as people said and did not lie about, a good person. One can sense another person and I can sense blake is very genuine... he has explained to me that he truly felt bad and I believe him.

I look forward to working with blake in the future on software / tuning developments as he is a VERY smart person and one of the smartest members or ex-members honda-tech has ever had... I know a lot of people dont like him / get along with him and that is definitely understandable in some ways, but there isnt much i can say.

Hopefully Im not jumping the gun on this and I will get the rest of the supplies, which Im quite sure I will.

yeah i got a real nice email from blake a couple days ago asking how the chip was doing and offering me free tuning software. i guess his car blew up and he had to move. i never had a problem with him anyway. glad to see you finally got your ecu back

It is good to hear some positives after all the drama that has happened. I would like to see updates in the coming weeks. Maybe I will be getting an uberchip afterall.

 

That's exactly why I love the guy.

He's inconsistant and unavailable sometimes, but he never claimed perfection. He has a miserable attitude towards people, but I personally find that endearing. A world full of perfect asskissing machines would make me vomit... people like Doug @ Hondata are too much (not trying to make any Uberchip/Hondata comparisons here... if you've ever talked to Doug you know what I mean. He's too goddamn nice and doesn't swear enough - quite literally a perfect gentleman. That's hard for a redneck boy like me to deal with ).

Todd and I tuned his (meaning Todd/Overblown-Teg) GS-R w/ SC61 today on Blake's new (still beta) version of his tuner. With 450cc and 6.5 psi, idle is perfect, and the wideband reads 13-13.2:1 AF off boost and 11.9-12.2:1 AF on boost with .85 deg/psi retard after four tweaks to the basemap. Drives like factory turbo car, feels good, ready for more boost and dyno time.

Yup...Blake has been keeping in touch with me lately as well. he's been sharing info and stuff and i'm glad to see that he's done the same with others. i'll be going the hondata route soon so i won't be needing the 3 bar version...although i may think about it in the near future as i will still have a spare ls ecu with his chip installed on it.

glad to see this i originally went with his chip and had no problems dealy with him I just needed my turbo done quickly at the time and couldn't wait...

Since I know there are a few poeple on here that would like to see this. This is my setup. As Joseph said we used the uberdata and its working great.

yeah I made it.. This weekend we did the install and chipped and tuned the ecu. I'm running non intercooled for now and will hopefully have my water to air on soon.

Lansdale I think that is close to me.

To keep this on topic.. The uberdata performed flawlessly. We changed vtec, launch control.. just about everything we needed and tuning is pretty easy.

 

i was in a situation also where i was basically fuxored in a uberchip situation...got a chip a month after i paid for it. that had nothing on it and did absolutely nothing. i let it be known in a few posts, of what happened, and a couple weeks later (this week), i get a little stupidfast envelope with a chip in it , i haven't even put that one in to make sure it works. i'm sure it does. i will probably check it before i sell it and make sure. i won't use it because i just got a hondata.

 

well here's a small pix of my ghetto setup running Blake's chip. this is without running the 3bar map sensor. yeah it's kinda messy but that will be fixed this winter.
