Default Unorthidox

I was thinking about putting Unorthidox Underdrive Pulleys on my FI GSR motor, but I hear that Unorthidox isnt really good on FI cause it kills engine life and lost of horsepower, so what underdrive pulleys would be better?

IMHO none.
Do a search for underdrive pulley you should come up with some reading material.
I had the unorthodox underdrive crank and alternator pulley's, ...not worth the money to me

I actualy have one underdrive pulley on my D16Z6 and nothing bad happen to me... I dont know who told you that...I also heard about this but I really dont know it could do this... If your crank is well balanced and your bearing are well installed it cant do this... IMO

It only increase throttle response and spooltime.

Yeah cause I heard like on FI motors, its like a 20hp gain or somethin like that...the stuff Im gonna add on, is a new intake manifold, bigger throttle body, and some pulleys, does anyone have cam gears? are they worth the money as well

How many accessories are you running? if your like me and only runing an alternator (no PS or A/C) it wouldnt be too great of a gain. but then again every little bit helps. I ran an underdrive pulley on my old motor for almost 2 years with no bearing/crank problems.

No,not quite. You will see maybe a 2-3 hp gain somewhere in the power band.

yeah not worth it one a FI car, theres so many easier ways to make power*cough turn up the boost*cough. No really though, once your boosted, the power is thier, you just need to make the modifications necessary to turn up the boost. Undersdrive pullies don't fall into this category .

no, if you net 20 whp from changing the diameter and weight of accessory pulleys, i will pay for the dyno runs. p.s. on a fi car, we can loose and gain 3x that much power based solely on the outside air temp.

i have a set of these pulleys (crank pulley as well) and the unorthodox crank pulley is EXTREMELY light, not really underdriven too much and also light weight accessory pullies..so the power would be made because the fact that the crank pulley is extremely lightened. like a light weight flywheel.
