here is a nice 30+ page thread on uberdata. the software is free, but you need a chip burner and other stuff that i dont know at this moment. the chipping of the ecu is to be done by you or a friend perhaps(keepin with the whole diy thing). i too would like to know more about it. do some searches and check out the website(which should be listed somewhere in that thread as like unofficial uberdata webpage)or something close to that.

BBKA, are you ready to hold the responsibility of being the official uberdata guru. hehehehe
If you guys have questions, go to http://www.ecimulti.org/uberdata. there is a forum and ask any question you want. we dont want bbka to get tired out and/or waste his genius on simple minded questions

as soon as I switch to a socketed p28 and play with the burner a bit more... I am going to be running it for sure.
download a copy, read the faq, and check it out.

If I did it and the car still runs, you can do it too Buy a 2nd ECU, work on it slowly, test it out, and then sell your current unmodded ECU. That's what I did.

I'm running a B16 with a P28 ECU and Uberdata. The ECU you get doesn't really matter unless you need spiffy stuff like IAB support or knock sensor support. I have neither.
