two turbo questions in one?
First is why sohc vtec motors make more torque than stock gsr compared if , both engines were well tuned?
Also will an d seris vtec tuned properly at 12psi pass emsions I'm from ct if that helps?
thanks for any info

I'll cover the first half of the question...
The reason D's make a lot more torque:horsepower in comparison with B series engines like the GSR is that the bore:stroke ratio is a lot different. The D16Z6 has a 75mm bore and 90mm stroke; whereas, the GSR has an 81mm bore and 87mm stroke. I won't go into the mechanical advantage speech (although i'm sure someone will) but basically the moral is that more stroke = more time for the fuel to burn and more overall torque.
I'm sure someone will elaborate on this...
