So it was a non divided manifold with a divided .85ar housing turbo first
then switched to a different divided manifold with divided 1.06ar housing?
Any pics of the two manifolds to compare?

Yes that is correct, switched to a divided manifold and larger 1.06 housing.
I don't have any pics of the old manifold, just the new one.

WHY did you swap the housings? that made your comparison null and void.. that's like comparing two separate turbos with different manifold combinations..
For all we know, the smaller housing was a choking point, and the gains were from that, not your divided pulse manifold.

I could care less about the peak numbers, its obvious that the new setup is running less boost anyways (~2psi should be another 40whp easily)
Lets say a 1.06 on the the open manifold does make the same peak as the new manifold (at similar boost pressure) What do you think the midrange will look like then?
I think this is confusing the way its worded.
Setup1: Open sidewinder style manifold with .85ar Divided housing
Setup2: AFI Twin scroll manifold with 1.06ar Divided housing
Setup2 with larger AR spools 800rpm faster
Setup2 makes about the same power as setup1 but with less boost. But power is harder to compare bc of the AR change.

I agree that it would have been more accurate without swapping housings but it is obvious to see the large Mid-range gains and the 800pm faster spool and that faster spool is with a larger housing at that.
That's enough to make me dish out the money for a Twin scroll and divided manifold

I dont think its hype at all, I have a friend that insists on running divided turbo's on undivided manifolds and I think its just plain stupid, he had a 42R on an undivided manifold he sold that and is now planning on running a 40R on an open scroll.
I dont see how this is null and void, he went from a smaller faster spooling housing on an undivided setup to a larger slower spooling housing on a matching divided setup and reached full boost over 500rpm quicker.....

definetly shows the potential, wasnt there a graph somewhere showing a 30r with a divided housing?
I think everyone is missing the point here....
One would expect the larger A/R to spool later, correct? When in fact with the manifold being true divided (not actually twin-scroll) is spooling faster even with the larger A/R.
I say job well done AFI!

One thing guys (OP), what exhaust was in use with each of these setups? I'm assuming it was the same, but I'm still curious what it was. . .
Note: That early of a spool on a 4094 being spun by a 2 liter is pretty amazing, isn't it?

The downpipe did change...however the length and number of bends remains very similar.
I'm honestly not sure what brand it is maybe Greddy? It was on the customer's car previously...Standard 3"
The downpipe like mentioned above is very similar...has an extra 90 deg bend over the previous setup. New Downpipe is pictured:
