Default Turbocharged 00 ITR

I'm pretty sure you get this a lot, but I've made up my mind to go FI on my ITR. What would be the best kit to go for is my question. I know Top Fuel has good kits and so does Apexi. Revhard and drag.. not sure.. but does anyone have any good experience with any of these? Custom? I'm leaning towards an HKSGT2530 or the 2835 turbine.. but I still have my options open. Let me know if you guys have had a lot of experience, I just want to make it right the first time. Thanks.

your going to have to be more specific. what is your horsepower goal? is this car daily driven? will you be using the stock block? will you be using some sort of engine management? you can't just say "ok guys I'm going over to the darkside" you have to have a goal. and most important, use the search next time for a question like this. this has been covered many many times before.

My 2000 ITR has been turboed for 2years. Running a RevHard stage 3 setup. Plus some extras. Runs a 13.6 at 107mph with stock factory original tires, 60ft 2.095.
If you want other details specifically, let me know.

a turbo type r pulling a 13.6 that seems kinda low. I did that in my Jrsc'd lude. how much psi were you pushing mine was at 6 on stock tires. but your trap speed was higher than mine.

You're right, 13.6 wasn't all that good. As the trap speed indicates, I am experiencing violent wheel spin that doesn't subside until 3rd gear. On one of my 13.8 runs my mph was 109. I think this season with drag radials and Z10, I may hit high 12's. Oh, I also added 440cc injectors, we'll see how it goes.

Turbonetics T3/TO4E-60 trim. I usually run 7 to 9 psi. I have 22000 miles on the turbo, no problems. Stock timing. Just have to have self control with the boost, she will detonate at 10 psi (stock timing)

Didn't mean to make it sound so broad. I want to get a kit that has the best average power in the mid 4-5500 area and is best tunable for a wide torque band instead of peak. Not double my output, but in the 260-280 hp range. It has to at least be driveable on the street. I've ran in mostly autox events, but I also run 1/4 mile everyone now and then. My car has about 18k on the motor. As far as extras, I was planning to go with a power fc, cams, adj. cam gears, bigger injectors, etc.. using my stock block also. Haven't had much experience with turbo's, but this is my ideal goal. Don't want to go over the 4.5k price range so this is all I have to work with. What are your setups, hp, tq, 1/4s? What are your ideas or options you would do? I just need to broaden my horizon on what I'm looking at, going to the "darkside." All of your help will be greatly appreciated, like I said I just want to get it right the first time.

although any turbokit will get you the hp range - and you dont need cam gears, you'd need 440's injectors.

i'd say T3 super60. i got T3/T4b S3 (50trim) .48 a/r - i plan to run 4.35-5psi boost and whatever comes out of it.. you could probably achieve your goal at 6-8psi. If possible, invest in a better manifold - with any kit you'd want external wastegate. maybe T3 60 trim - and if you want to help with spool - get ball bearing.

- check out compression maps - you could decide for yourself - there are topics. whatever you choose, you'd want something that spools fast if you want quick response at low rpm.

I say they shouldnt , you gonna prove me wrong
yea if you dont plan on boosting much thne not ness to get something too big, but you need to get soemthing that will be able to handle the high RPm's . remember the R revs high, dont get something that will give up at 8k or something like that , but you want something that will spool quicker since you dont plan on giving it big time boost
i dunno man , its a pain sometimes, i feel just go all out , fuggit 400 hp street demon

or you could bolt on a turbo & get 282 whp untuned (aka: Pig-rich) at 5800' ft altitude.

mark...where are you??
