Turbo and Timing

I have a turbo kit on my car, Im saving up for Turbo edit and a wideband. Now my question is I just bought a v-afc for cheap just for now, so is there anything on there to adjust timing. And if not do I retard the distributor or my cam gears?

VAFC cannot adjust timing. Retard your timing at the distributor.
