Turbo or Supercharger?
Thinking about adding a forced induction unit in my LS/VTEC '94 Integra.
VAFC, B16 ported head, CTR cams, shaved stock crank, polished and shotpeened stock rods, B16 10:1 c/r pistons.
I'd like to boost around 8-10 psi, do I need to lower my c/r or strengthen my rods?
Which is better, turbo or supercharger?

Re: Turbo or Supercharger? (jdmlsvtec8)
I'd say lower that compression just a little. And as far as the second question this can be
covered with a search! But ive had both and I like turbo way better.

Turbo it!!!!
Only because of the High efficiency of a turbo. Superchargers are nice if you want a reliable setup, but they have a low efficiency. And they dont exaclty make superchargers to throw more than 12 lbs of boost (Someone correct me if Im wrong)
The only downside of a turbo is the lag.....But IMO Well worth the results capable of a turbocharger.
But next time do a search

Re: (lazerus)
doesn't the supercharger put like 600hp worth of parasitic drag on the same drag cars?
If turbos were actually unreliable then why the hell do factory turbo cars go for over 200k all the time? magic turbo? tornado?
Reliability is only as good as the person who designed and installed the system. I know some NA guys that can blow an engine with NEITHER supercharger or turbo. imagine that
