Will a car with an aftermarket turbo have anything about that in the smog report. I have an 02 civic and want a turbo, but I was wondering if they include the fact that the car has a turbo in the smog report.

depends on the kit and where you live..I'd say 90% of the kits out there will not pass in CA

HOw often should I expect to have to go in for a smog test - since my car is brand new and is designated ULEV.

Re: Turbo and smog test (Tom)
if your in Cali.. i think for new cars it's a smog test after the first 3 years.. and then every ohter year after that.... and pray they dont ever send you a smog only station.....

i stil have yet to conquer that possible California-***-u-very-much greeting...

Re: Turbo and smog test (GSRwBOOST)
Ya, I'm from California - sucks to be me, I know. How hard do you think it will be to just take the turbo off and put the stock exhaust and intake systems back on every time the smog test comes around. Shouldn't be too much trouble, right? Also, do you think that if I were to upgrade fuel and ignition systems, I would have any trouble passing a smog test?
