Default turbo setup, need help~

I'm interested in a revhard stage 2 turbo kit...i'm running a b16 in an EG civic and i already have an AEM fuel pressure regulator...anyway, the kit comes with a "high-flow fuel pump". since this pump is included, is it necessary to increase injector size for a daily-driven car that probably won't see any higher than 250whp? not that i'm a cheap-***, but i want to avoid spending more than $3000 not including shipping...

also, does anyone have experience with this kit? I was stuck inbetween the AFI street kit and this, but the revhard looks pretty complete, at least more so than the AFI...

also, would hondata s300 be able to control the boost and suit my needs, or is it overkill? it looks pretty simple but comprehensive for 570 bucks, but is there cheaper that would suit my needs too? and nobody suggest crome, its too expensive...

crome is free... how is that expensive? Crome PRO might cost money, but isnt needed.

elaborate that statement...how could i adapt crome to regulate boost pressure and optimize air-fuel and ignition timing? for free?

so you are looking for something to limit the boost in low gears, or just looking for something to use for fuel management?

Ive been tuned with crome for 2 years now making almost 500whp.. When it was street tuned making 440whp, it was done with a free version of crome. No issues.

Im using crome PRO now which must be purchased, it has more options. Im in the process of switching to ECTUNE now, which is the newest program and I hear its pretty good.

i want something that i can use to adjust boost level low for daily driving and then switch to maximum performance for strip and highway pulls...plus, i want something that will manage the fuel to make it safer to run at higher boost levels...

describe the process of crome adaptation for a factory ecu...
also, do i need injectors with that revhard setup? what's a good size that supports 350whp at max??

well, you should pick up some sort of Manual or Electronic boost controller if you want to change boost levels on the fly. As for fuel management, crome can be used.
To use crome, you must chip an obd1 ecu such as a p28/p30/p72 etc..

As for injectors, they arent overly expensive and are pretty much a must have. for 350, I would go with RC 750s at least
they are about 350 new

so, by chipping the ecu, is there any usb plug-in like s300 or how do you tune it? do you use a eeprom reader, or can you tune it in-car with a laptop?

With Crome you use an emulator to tune and burn the final tune onto an EEPROM, like the older Hondata systems. You can datalog with a serial cable, but there's no USB connection like the S300.

gotrice, I suggest you visit the FAQ's and research the board here on the different engine management systems and their features.

you need to know far more than you're asking here, and you've been asking a lot of basic kinda questions.

of course, datalogging is no good without crome pro...i'm gonna stick with hondata because it's a simpler connection...i will look at the ems threads and learn, thanks...
