Which turbo for the quickest response/spool up?
I was looking to boost my B17A to 250hp, to the wheels, using JRSC. However there were many recommendation to use a turbo instead of the JRSC to acheive it. Thus my question is this, which turbo would you recommend spool up quick? Someone recommmended a 5lb greddy turbo, but I can't seem to find any info on it. BTW I'm only using the car for street driving. Therefore I need a turbo that spool up quick and deliver the power early, not one that deliver power only at the top end.

Thanx for the recommendation on the book, but I'm looking for a reply more to the line of "well...the turbo kit from such &such company is suppose to be quick spooling and is for street use...."
I'm looking for recommendation of which kit would fit my needs.

T28's spool up QUICK! Fun as hell to drive, great low end power. And they are quite noisy little suckers Sounds like a Bus on steroids.
T3's also produce nice power in the lower to mid rpm range.

T2 will get the job done, and quickly at that. Be looking to hit compressor surge around 5000 rpm though.

t3/t4 is nice and flows around 850cfm and all... but its descently laggy.
"If you have no lag, you have no turbo" -Corky bell
I love quoting that line..
a t25 sound compared to my t3/t04e is like comparing rain to a tornado... I know I've heard both :D

How much hp can I get from going all motor while still having the car be running on 93 octane gas?

My vote is for a GT12. Nothing like full boost at idle

Yes, I have a T3 60 trim. It spools quick even with my stock cat-back and pulls all the way to redline on my motor.
