i'd run a saab or something of the sort t3 .42 /.48 on the y8

a full t3/t4 is too big, really. you'll have more fun with a straight t3.

60 trim t3 with .48 turbine, good spool and it pulls harder the higher you rev, i love mine

http://www.cheapturbo.com can get any trim t3 you want with any size turbine housing just call.....

Great turbo for the sohc. I just installed one on a friend's car... it pulls hard and spools quick. He also has a 3"dp and no exhaust yet though...

YES T3 is what i perfer. i have a Y8 with a T3/T4b..i think, but i know its a T3/T4. It lags because i'm boosting only 4-6lbs, but people tell me when i am boosting at 10lbs, there shouldn't be too much lag. But yes get the t3, quicker spool!

What is the a/r on your turbo?... Through my experiences a .63 is not good for a stock sohc because they do not rev high enough. A .48 would be my suggestion.

I can second that, I drive a D16Y8 Civic with a T3 60 trim on a .48 Stage III turbine. It hits 9psi by 3300rpm with a 2.5" dp and 3" exhaust. It can boost well beyond what the car can handle safely on stock internals so it should be all you need!!!

I love my 50 trim T3 w/ .63 turbine and .42 comp. Very strong from 4000 up and awesome top end @ 9 psi

Check eBay for "down2turbo" you can get a brand new remanufactured T3 for about $300. I would go with a T3 60 trim .48 exhaust .60 compressor. I bought one of those turbos from him and I am very happy with it. It made awsome number and pulls very hard up top. Spools pretty well aslo.

left out the 14B turbo from the first gen Eclipse. You could get one for about 100 bucks. Boost at around 12psi starting at 2200rpm. Do some reaserch into this turbo. Cheap and easy to find.
