Turbo Question
im just getting in to it now too. if u are going to peice one together def. do alot of research first and find out exactly what u want. and go from there. it is cheaper to peice one together but the kits are nice cause they have everything there u need. but lots of people i talked to that bought kits replaced parts that they didnt want. ex. so in my opinion read up on your stuff, find what u want and peice one together....hope it helped.
yea i am getting my ls swap for my EK i believe next weekend and im gonna have 700 to work with after that, i was debating on saving it to get a turbo kit, or pieceing it together, time is not an issue because i mean, its not like im not gonna be satisfied with the speed, anythings better than my DX, i had an Si before this and really wanted to swap in a b16a but i dunno, turbo seems better to me.
i would say, when u get enough knowledge,
piecing together a kit turns out to be much better...but im not exactly a VETERAN, but have been around the stuff for a LONG time..
good luck,
mike

When i first started, i wanted to buy the drag kit, i thought it was easy and all that i wanted. After learning all that i have, i found allot better ways of doing things, especially fuel managment. The hokey pokey FMU was something that i just didnt want for my car. I have learned allot by putting my own kit together. I would recomend going this way to anyone, new or seasoned vetran. IMHO, this is the only way to go. You get what you want and buy specific parts for your specific setup.
