turbo performance manifolds, going cheap
iv kept my mouth shut thus far... but i have to be honest... im not sure the quiality o these manifolds is good... one of my friends had one... as it came from them... it was braced and all... the wg cracked completely off when he was driving... just hanging from the vaccum lines not to mention the manifolds are made from insanely thin steel
I talked to FFgeoff and he said that these are the exact same manifolds that RPM NYC reseels under the RPM name. He told me that they were really good for the price...
I guess We'll just have to see....I'm gonna run one anyways. Won't find anything out unless you try it right?
internet Ay: You're friend probably got a shelf stock version. He could get it with the wastagate coming out the collector

here's a car with the manifold...stock LS making 291whp with 17psi and 12.3 quarter mile times

well it doesnt really matter where it was because he welded the stock wastegate flange closed and relocated it to thecollector because he is having massive boost creep, but relocating the wastegate didnt help, must be that POS deltagate. by the way he is running a 9 psi spring and the boost is creeping up to 15psi.
i recently found out that RPM stopped pushing these becuase of breakage issues. Apparently someones turbo came off at speed....
its more or less the pace-setter of turbo manifolds.

But what type of life expectancy are we speaking of, realistically. 2 months, 6 months...a year, before cracking and repair/replacement become a concern. Honestly, I've never kept an engine in a car longer than a year and a half before I break/upgrade something anyway.
So, for the money and the possible performance gains of a tubular manifold, it's probably worth it for me. That is assuming it lasts at least long enough for me to get to the dyno.
...and I might still have my old school pacesetter header today if it wasn't for a head on collision
That brings back memories...
