it works well on all sorts of cars, thats why ive seen someone going 10.3 on a stock b16a, low 11s on stock GSRs, etc.

and yeah, there is a way that motor is pushing that kind of VE. Thats why civics are going mid 8s on 2 liters. It comes at the price of some lag, but youre drag racing. The GT3037 doesnt have enough compressor in it, and the turbine is a bit off imo. That sc61 is dead nuts on, in every way.

also dont use the turbo to limit your HP. Use the boost level. If you want to use crap gas, run low boost. If you want to ET, put some race gas in, and turn the boost up. Make it versatile. If you dont, your car wont turn a time. Going fast means breaking stuff. Being in the US you can get 240 parts cheap, and if you dont want to spend money, youre in the wrong sport.

VE has been kicking me straight in my nuts
ever since I started turbo sizing

If you look at my comp desk, I have scattered so many sheets of plotted compressor maps and I still cant find the right sized turbo.

For a 2.0 litre 8000rpm stock vtec head, this is what I got for "dead nuts on"
TO4E .60 trim ..if its too small, tell me I'm nuts

Like a nerd, I calculated the turbo will cover the 2.0, even when it experiences VE of 85% -to- 110% from 6000 to 8000 rpm. ***** me up if Im wrong

Also, I'm starting to believe that there are no REAL compressor maps out there.
Have you ever seen the one for 60-1 on turbonetics site?? Hahaha, thats the one people run on Hondas? wtf! 2.5 litre is more like it.

jeff let me say that i'm wieghing heavily towards the fact that this compressor is wrong, i chose under incorrect

i limit hp by boost. i agree about the turbine in the GT3037 which is what started this whole new turbo sizing for me.

at this point i have found where my errors were. thanks for your help. i feel that i'm being misunderstood on some things and i'll stop explaining. Because of my experiences with the GT3037 and how well it did, i'll be using that 56 trim GT wheel.

Why do u limit hp by boost? boost is relative, its just pressure in the intake. thats whats so great about a turbo, u can control your hp w/ boost. personally I would rather limit boost by hp. its alot easier to get 400whp @ Xpsi w/ just the turn of a **** then to do what u r doing which is trying to run 15psi and get 400whp. i think the boost controller method is little bit more cost efficient, which would be good for u since u said u r broke.

i'm aware of what boost is. i think you took this out of context. i dont care what boost i have to run but the max is 15. i tthink i'm actaully gonna be doing it at 13psi....but people doubt it. i'm adding a nice long tube header, 4" DP, and cam gears to the 392 setup. are you thinking those are only gonna gain me 8hp when tuned? i also have some major changes to my current TEC II program in respect to timing and target a/f. i'm gonna try a couple things on the dyno to see if it makes power.

i just don't see why ur limiting boost to 15psi. a motor can only make so much power on pump gas, if u exceed that power level it doesn't matter what the boost is.
