I had a 88 civic hatchback which was my daily driver that the transmission recently went out and the engine has been smoking for awhile. Im considering putting a turbo'd ls in it. I'm kinda new to hondas but have built a couple of v8 cars. I was thinking forged bottom end(with around 9.5:1-10:1 compression) with ported head, cams and turbo. With porting out the heads and changing cams, how much power is the ls capable of producing with a turbo that is street friendly with pump gas? Second can i get some recommendations of good quality internals/cams/intake to use. I'd kinda like to see 300-400 whp but like i said i'm new to hondas and i'm not sure if the ls engine is capable of that or the block will handle it. thanks for any input
