turbo kit question(s)
A buddy of mine is getting this kit, and wants to know if when he gets it, can he just bolt it straight up to his b16 del sol, with the stock fuel/ecu/managment for a few weeks until he can get his hondata and injectors? i have a vortec fmu in the garage, think its a 12:1 but not sure at all, do we need to use that?

Re: turbo kit question(s) (BUCKO5)
If your buddy is eventually going to get bigger injectors and Hondata in a few weeks.... why don't he just hold up on the turbo install until then. That's what I would do if it was my car. Just my opinion....... Oh yeah...by the way. How on earth did you even get a LS turbocharged Del Sol to only run low 14s. I did that on my hatch (LS swap with ACT clutch on 13" donuts)..... all motor stock!!!

Re: turbo kit question(s) (NVturbo)
that was on 18 inch cp-10s at only 6 psi...and a 2.4 60'...and the del is a heavy bitch...2690 with me and a 1/2 tank (i weigh about 120)
i am trying to convince him to just get the injectors/hondata while he is waiting for a good weekend to put it on, that way he can have it the way he wants it right off the bat....

12:1 provides MORE fuel than 10:1...
And yes you will need ATLEAST a FMU, but why not just wait until the hondata comes in?

Re: (toolowsol)
thanks for the help guys but im just gonna get the hondata, and the injectors now so i can just have it all done in one install instead of waiting and all that jazz. if anyone has any other advice, maybe on oil pan tapping methods, for a newbie turbo guy, lemme know.
